Villafáfila is the heart of the Villafáfila Lagoons Nature Reserve, where two ecosystems are combined:

The lagoon, comprised of a set of salt lagoons (salines), with a great variety of aquatic birds, or those that use the lagoons, such as cranes.

The pseudo-steppe (field) is home to steppe birds, its largest representatives being the great bustard and the lesser kestrel.

It has the world's largest population of great bustards, the largest population of birds in Castile and León, and the largest population of lesser kestrels.

Terms of use

Decalogue of the motorhome owner

1st It is not permitted to take tables, chairs, awnings, clotheslines, barbecues, etc., out of the motorhome; camping is prohibited.

This rule is generally required in free areas, overnight parking and service points, while in paid camper areas it is usually allowed to take items out of the motorhome.

2. Parking of vehicles in the area where tanks are emptied and water is filled is prohibited, and using this area to wash vehicles is also prohibited.

3. Special care must be taken to cleanliness when using common facilities.

Please deposit your waste in the designated containers. Always try to leave what you use in the way you would like to find it.

4. Cleaning camping equipment and/or pets in public bathrooms is prohibited.

Public bathrooms are not sinks or pet toilets.

5. The playing of loud music, the emission of disturbing noises, the use of electric generators, etc., is prohibited during rest hours.

Respect the hours of rest. In Spain and Portugal we have the custom of taking a siesta, so from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 11:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. we must be considerate about not making noise.

6. Users of the areas must comply with any instructions given by local authority personnel, in order to ensure the care and preservation of the area, respect and good neighbourliness among users.

7. Park in an orderly manner, respect the markings that delimit the parking spaces and when you leave spaces separating them, plan for the motorhome area to be filled.

Imagine if a family arrived in a motorhome after a long trip at the last minute, and the only free space left cannot be used because you have not parked your vehicle properly. It would be inconvenient for everyone. Think of others when you park your vehicle.

8th Failure to provide assistance is prohibited.

A motorhome is a family's home and the vehicle that transports it, so it becomes a vital part of their lives. A small breakdown can be a big disruption. Something as simple as lending a phone to make a call, or lending that tool you have, or giving advice about something that happened to you too, can be a big help. Encourage camaraderie!

9. Respect the maximum stay. If the area is full and you have already exhausted the maximum stay time, leave, do not wait to be kicked out!!

This rule is generally required in municipal areas, overnight car parks and service points, while in paid areas no maximum stay period is established.

10. Pets must always be on a leash and don't forget to pick up their droppings.

As the person responsible for your pet, you must take measures to ensure that it does not bother others.

11º Unless otherwise indicated, it is prohibited to light fires in the motorhome areas.

12. Unless otherwise indicated, motorhome areas are NOT monitored. Take the necessary precautionary measures, the responsibility lies with the user.
