VILLAFÁFILA FOOTBALL CLUB 1980 -1984

      The Villafáfila Football Club was established in 1980 until 1984, playing four seasons.

1980-1981 2nd Ordinary Regional Championship.

1981-1982 1st Ordinary Regional Championship.

1982-1983 1st Ordinary Regional Championship group B.

1983-1984 Championship of the 1st Regional Group North.

      The kit was composed of a long-sleeved orange shirt with three black stripes that went from the shoulder and ended at the end of the sleeve, at first they did not have a shield, it was later included on the left side.

      The numbers were blue and black.

      The pants were black with three stripes on both sides.

      The half oranges. 

      The black boots.

     The soccer field was in San Marcos, a place that gave its name to said field, today part of it is the pool and the apartments next to it, it had changing rooms, which are now the pool bar, you can still see it in the top the team name.

 We report the General Rules:

 According to Art. 306 and 307 of the Regulations of matches and competitions, warnings will matter the following:

 First warning 50 pts.

 Second warning 100 pts.

 Third warning 150 pts.

 Fourth warning 200 pts.

 Art. 269 Suspension of matches. Fine of 100 pts. for each match covered by the sanction

 Improper alignment. Fine of 1000 pts. and loss of the game by the result of 1-0, if the offending team had tied or won.

 The team that has to play at home must take into account the following: Before Thursday the place and time of the start of the match must be communicated to the opposing team, to the College of Referees and to the Provincial Football Delegation, as well as to request the corresponding Public Force, either to the Civil Governor, City Council or Civil Guard post, either in Zamora or in the localities of the province. This communication is of the utmost importance, since the College of Referees and the Provincial Football Delegation itself will not be held responsible if the team does not give sufficient notice.

 The Sportsmanship Trophy is resumed, which will be awarded at the proposal of the Competition Committee to the Club that has been sanctioned the least throughout the competition. For this, the corresponding classification will be carried out every week.

 Once again, and as is the usual rule of this delegation and its Competition Committee, all Clubs are warned of the need for both players and managers of all Clubs to maintain maximum sportsmanship and correctness on the playing fields. football, respect the person of the Referee, as well as the sports facilities.

Once said Championship is over, the champion and runner-up of each group will play a league between the four teams, the winner of which will be proclaimed champion of the 1st Regional Category of Zamora.

       Most of the players belonged to Villafáfila, but they also played from towns such as Villaveza del Agua, San Agustín, Barcial del Barco, Tapioles and Villarrín.

      The team was very followed by the people of the town, who for its maintenance became partners paying a small fee, a lottery was held at the San Roque festivities and at Christmas for the team, some games were charged admission, this measure was quickly suppressed, the players from other towns went to look for them, the games were massively followed, when they played in another town they went by bus and private cars, with some towns after the game they had a snack, in others there was a great rivalry, which in some of them the civil guard had to intervene, the matches were recorded by the first video cameras that came onto the market, recording Leto, then they were put on in the Favila bar

     In the summer of 2003, an exhibition about the Club was held by José Luis Domínguez Martínez, thanks to the conservation of the stamps, booklets, players' licences, membership cards, photographs, match minutes, invoices, equipment, etc. , which were lent by Quintín Martínez Salvador, Emilio Rodríguez de Prada, Carlos Alonso García, F. Javier Rodríguez Miñambres, Ángel Ferreras Calzada, Julián Gómez Fernández, Gregorio Gómez Fernández, Jesús Figuera Ferrero, Victoriano Gómez del Teso, Ventura Gómez Álvarez and Dionisio Alonzo Alonzo.
